Acoustic Mineral Wool is a Rockwool type product supplied in a density to give maximum sound absorption when loosely installed between cavities of floors, walls and ceilings. It effectively absorbs airborne sound as part of an overall upgrade of any soundproofing project and will help bring separating floors and walls into compliance with Part E of the Building Regulations.
PLEASE NOTE This is not a roll type loft insulation wool but an acoustic mineral wool supplied in slabs and produced to a specific density to give maximum sound absorption.
Acoustic Mineral Wool (AMW) is used extensively in buildings and throughout industry to give acoustic, thermal and fire insulation. It is particularly useful as a sound absorbing infill for the reduction of airborne sound between flooring joists, suspended ceilings, stud partitioning and in combination with our Resilient Bars will give an enhanced performance.
Due to the fibres within this product it can cause irritation to the skin so protective gloves should be worn when handling the product and suitable protective wear including goggles should be worn when working overhead.
